JoeArchitect visits A-dec

Joe, Joe & Kristi had the opportunity to visit A-dec in Newberg, Oregon, not far from Portland. Hosted by Mike Wilson of A-dec and Dennis Thornton of Patterson Dental, the purpose of our trip and factory tour was to better understand the value of manufactured dental furniture. Ciaran Hynes is the director of dental furniture at A-dec and was our tour guide for the day. Our tour included an introduction to A-dec’s beautiful campus and facilities, many references to the unique corporate culture rooted in the company’s humble beginnings, and a step-by-step look at the process of transforming simple, high-quality materials into carefully designed and meticulously crafted dental equipment.

In addition to seeing firsthand how and where A-dec creates it’s products, we enjoyed dinner at McCormick’s & Schmick’s Harborside at the Marina. Topping off our already great trip, the weather couldn’t have been better.  Here we are just outside the restaurant along the Willamette River in downtown Portland.
