Fostering innovative problem solving, the company is co-owned and managed by Joe Miller and Joe Church. Having collaborated on projects for 10 years, the two Joes created JoeArchitect in 2005. In addition to Joe and Joe, the JoeArchitect studio includes Thinh Nguyen, Caroline Campbell, Christina Kluender, and Kristi Volskis.
